"A Conversation About Redefining Your Future After Incarceration"

Platform to Employment Re-Entry, A Workplace Oppurtunity Event

workplace re-entry event, featured speaker

In May 2021, Dr. Antoinette Glenn was invited as a featured guest speaker for Platform to Employment® Re-Entry, a national initiative by The WorkPlace dedicated to supporting individuals returning from incarceration. The virtual event, “A Conversation About Redefining Your Future After Incarceration,” focused on reshaping identity, reclaiming purpose, and re-entering society with confidence and direction.

Speaking to an audience of justice-impacted individuals, educators, and support professionals, Dr. Glenn shared her own powerful journey—one marked by transformation, perseverance, and redemption. With clarity and compassion, she emphasized the importance of self-belief, accountability, and access to opportunity when navigating life after incarceration.

As the author of Found Guilty: My 26 Year Journey to Redemption, Dr. Glenn brought deeply personal insight to the conversation. Her book chronicles her lived experience with the justice system and the long, internal process of healing and growth that followed. During the event, she discussed how writing served as a tool for reflection, how faith and education shaped her path, and how her story now serves as a resource for others seeking a way forward.

Her message resonated strongly with attendees, reinforcing the idea that a conviction does not define one’s future—and that redemption, while complex, is possible with support, structure, and purpose.
